Nevertheless, different scalability, security, and privacy challenges affect this technology. Blockchain is a new technology that can be adopted for decentralized access control management issues. Thus, it is quite a challenge to involve an access control system especially if the patients’ medical data are accessible by users who have diverse privileges in different situations. However, despite increased attention to the security of electronic health records, patient privacy is still at risk for data breaches.
In recent years, the interest in using wireless communication technologies and mobile devices in the healthcare environment has increased. The analysis shows that our scheme is correct, complete, secure and efficient.
We also used the ciphertext-Policy Attribute Based Encryption scheme for supporting the efficient decryption outsourcing as another security layer for managing the policy. Blockchain technology is used to manage identities and provide the authentication, store and execute a smart contract that incorporates the contextual and detailed access policy defined by the data owner, which is triggered by an access requester, that gives data owners the sovereign right to effectively manage their data sets and manage the policy. In this paper, we propose a distributed, scalable and fine-grained access control scheme with efficient decryption for the Big Data in clouds. The blockchain is a distributed ledger that records transactions in a secure, flexible, verifiable and permanent way. Ciphertext-Policy Attribute Based Encryption is a promising cryptographic primitive for the security of cloud storage system, which can bring fine-grained access control. However security and privacy issues are magnified by large amounts of heterogenous data. Big Data is a growing concept, offering us opportunities, that were not available before in many fields.
